Quiet is the sound of the gently falling snow! Each flake acts as a little acoustic tile deadening all sound. If you stand still long enough, you can hear your own heart beating. If you move you hear only the crunch of the snow beneath your feet.

Quiet is sitting on the pool deck watching the sunrise while waiting for your swimmers to arrive for their daily practice. The gurgling of the skimmers and the inlets combined with the drone of the pump motor, create a hum that accentuates the aroma of your tea and the colors of the approaching dawn.

Quiet is the wind rustling the leaves high in the trees on your hike in the crisp mountain air.

Quiet is the whistles and rattles of the wind moving through the rigging and across the sails. Quiet is the off-key clanging of the halyard against the mast. Quiet is the lapping of the waves against the hull as you are pushed through them feeling only the power of the wind.

Quiet is the thunder of a wave slamming against the shore before quickly ebbing back into the ocean just as the next wave rumbles and crashes down upon it.

Quiet can be a lot of things but it is rarely silent!
